Tsunami Watch 2010
While waiting for the tsunami to arrive , I prepared this rendition of what the wave could look like.
But seriously, we aren’t too worried about our safety right now. Doll and I are eight stories up, and have plenty of food and water. Worst case scenario, there’s this sturdy tree outside I’ll grab ahold of.
Robot’s Films to Watch
Thanks in part to Netflix, I have this short list of films that I am eagerly waiting to watch. They have been backed up to my iTunes library, and remain in a state of “Unwatched-edness.” As soon as a window opens, and Doll is so kind as to indulge my nerdy need, I will take the plunge and begin watching some of these movies. You will be familiar with most of these.
- Sunshine (2007) – I never got around to seeing this one. Partly, I don’t really like scary movies, even ones set in space. My mother rented Event Horizon for my dad and I a good ten years ago, and it scared the living crap out of me. There was crap everywhere. Still, maybe Danny Boyle can make things right.
- Blade Runner (1982) – No, I have seen the director’s cut and everything, but the new, for reals director’s cut came out a couple of years ago. I regret not seeing it on the big screen when I had the chance. Our TV will have to do.
- Moon (2009) – Apparently this is good. Lead actor Sam Rockwell seems to play a dirty man-whore in every movie I have seen him in so far. Prove me wrong, Mr. Rockwell. I wonder if they have tried to produce a film here in the vein of Andrei Tarkovsky’s cerebral Solaris.
That wraps up my list, obviously. Have any other film recommendations? Leave them in the comments! Спасибо!
A Look Forward
Oh no, this could be us in twenty or twenty-five years. The only real danger is in the unlikely scenario of us not having children, losing our sense of taste, and ultimately owning giant cats. Man, what were they thinking?

Waimea Waves
Here I continue the tradition of posting video months after it was shot. Finally online for you to see is some mediocre footage of big waves on the North Shore of Oahu. These aren’t the biggest we’ve seen the surf here in Hawaii, but it is definitely appreciably more huge than summertime. Click the image below to see the video.
Camera Nerd
Regardless, Hawaii is beautiful, and I ought to be documenting some of that for everyone back home.
PS – I recommend you click through for the high-def video here.
