L-O-L-A Lola
The day came when baby Gibbons decided that it was time to get out of Doll and finally meet everyone. That day was December 14th, this past Wednesday at 5:01AM. She has a name, and it is Lola Mae. She is my new favorite human!

What I Saw This Week
Baby Gibbons is arriving any day now, and we couldn’t be any more excited. Seriously! If I was any more excited, I would be peeing my pants constantly. Taking care of the little human is going to be a lot of work; I think I grasp that aspect. They say that the easiest it’s ever going to care for the baby is when it’s still inside. However tough it will be, I’m still excited to be a dad.
Anyhoo, it’s time I shared some things I’ve recently seen around the island.
This was on my ride home. I know that graffiti is technically vandalism and thus illegal, but you have to admit these guys are pretty good at what they do.

They’re finally setting up the displays for the annual Christmas getup along King Street here in Honolulu. Maybe this year we’ll manage to walk along and see all the sights in detail. Mele Kalikimaka!

These hedges in front of our building are pretty ordinary. If you look carefully, you should be able to catch the single spiderweb caught by a glint of sunlight.
I know that Doll has shared our Christmas tree with you, but I thought it a good idea to showcase one of our ornaments.
Bad…But Good?
Doll and I opened our mailbox earlier this week to find a special delivery from my parental units, replete with all sorts of goodies for us and our soon-to-be child, “L.” We’ll ignore contents of the box, except for one extra special piece: this awesome (and frightening) retro toy found in Folsom. Again, it is awesome…and frightening. The sound it makes haunts and delights at the same time.
Baby Gibbons hasn’t quite arrived yet. We’ve sat about this weekend, as if waiting for her to make her debut appearance. Quiet time.
Iolani Palace Event
I’ve been pretty busy at work this past little while. This weekend was no exception: we were filming an event at Iolani Palace Saturday night until pretty late. I eventually managed to get in some shots with my phone near the end. People seemed to be having a good time of it all.
